InthisstudytheinteractionsbetweentoxicityremovalsandKemicetine,CODremovals,intermedi-ateproductsofKemicetineandCODcomponents(CODsoriginatingfromslowlydegradableorganics,readilydegradableorganics,inertmicrobialproductsandfromtheinertcompounds)wereinvestigatedinasequentialanaerobicbaffledreactor(ABR)/aerobiccompletelystirredtankreactor(CSTR)systemwitharealpharmaceuticalwastewater.ThetotalCODandKemicetineremovalefficiencieswere98%and100%,respectively,inthesequentialABR/CSTRsystems.
